The Eber/Bowman Fourth Grade Team at Wylie Elementary in Dexter researched Michigan Watersheds and our favorite Michigan Rivers. We used data from The Huron River Watershed Council website to learn about the whole Huron River Creekshed. We learned about the healthy and unhealthy parts of the river and suggested ways that humans can keep our Huron River healthy! We used the school Stream Table to model the path of the Huron River from headwaters to mouth. We taught what we learned to another 4th grade class and we are planning to teach other classes and interested community members at the Wylie Walkers event in June.
