During our recent energy project our classes were asked to complete the ECOWORKS Healthy Home Audit and to write a persuasive essay demanding that our school admin give (our classes) permission to install a solar array. This is a how-to showing how to complete the audit and a sample of our persuasive essays.

I loved the closing title “You have been persuaded by the Blue Herons.” Haha – cause it’s true! These essays were well researched and well thought out! I could tell students really thought through what someone might say in response.
I liked that you said solar panels help the environment and they save money.
I was totally persuaded by all of the letters!! i used to think solor pannels were just another way to get energy but i never really thought deeply about how better it is for the emvorment.
I love this (also i love the music and layout) Its so creative and fun. I was definitely persuaded by all of the letters! What i liked was everyone’s was uniquely different so i was hearing new facts for each one. I learned so much you did a great job!
This is such a cool idea! Maybe if the James and Grace Lee Boggs School does this you can teach other schools how to do it.
