Biology students will apply their Master Rain Gardener skills to assess and maintain the rain gardens on the Ypsilanti Community High School campus. As part of this hands-on environmental stewardship project, students will evaluate soil conditions and determine whether amendments are needed, remove invasive weeds, design a replanting plan as necessary, and check water levels to ensure effective drainage. They will document and share their maintenance process, demonstrating both ecological knowledge and a commitment to sustainable landscape practices.
