My name is Kasydy and I’m a 9th grade science student. Throughout both the fall and winter semester, I have spent time learning about and observing an eco-site of my choice nearly every week. I chose the beginning of the walking trail behind my house, and have been able to make close observations and learn about patterns and things I never noticed about the nature that’s been there my whole life. I’m using this platform to not only share my observations and connections I’ve made between my eco-site and the science material, but also to share how this experienced has affected me as an individual and broadened my perspective.

I love how you were able to connect abstract knowledge like science and make it tangible connecting it to something you are so familiar with! I am actually thinking of sending it to my son’s teacher. It is much more interesting and engaging when science is taught this way and I feel I would certainly retain these complex concepts better this way too! Thank you for this beautiful example! You are true inspiration for me!
I like that you were able to understand the chemical concepts using place that you are very familiar with!
I love the way you saw a familiar place with NEW EYES!
