Wonderful! I agree and am fully aware that by true this program we can start to change the state of climate change. See more about the Tree Service Orange County.
Your passion for this topic really comes across, Evelyn, and I am so glad you chose to share your knowledge. I especially like that you challenged some common myths (such as cold temperatures means there is no global warming or that we’ll all die immediately if we don’t change our habits) with the real facts. What do you think we need to do at Boggs to contribute to more tree planting? Maybe each student can make it a goal to plant 10 trees before they leave the Boggs School? What do you think needs to happen at the school to make this happen and could we partner with Team Trees or a SEMIS partner to help?
Evelyn, thank you for sharing this research and challenge. I also want to brag on Evelyn: while my name is on this project, this truly was completely student powered. Evelyn came to me and asked if she could present this to our class – she did the research, created the presentation, and confidently shared this without my direction or guidance. I was super excited when she agreed to share her research and message here!
Well done Evelyn! Just remember that trees sequester carbon (photosynthesis) AND release carbon (cellular respiration). You are spot on, that trees DO take in way more than they release AND SO are a great way to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. Just keep them alive and encourage their seedlings! We need more trees out there.
Wow Evelyn! This is such an amazing presentation. I noticed you said “I am not the most knowledgeable person on this topic”, but truly, the knowledge you shared was important and well researched. I could tell you knew what you were talking about and you were passionate about it. So proud of you!
Wow, Evelyn! This is such a well-researched presentation. You spoke so confidently and clearly about climate change and your proposed solution. I love how the steps you outline are practical and easy to do– it was really inspiring!
Wow! Evelyn, I am SO impressed with how much work and effort you put into this project! Your passion for our climate and earth is so clear! amazing job!
This is Awesome Evelyn!
Such an important issue! Amazing presentation Evelyn!
