Volunteering for Change

Presentation slide to introducing BUILDING A BETTER COMMUNITY, 9th Grade Volunteer Initiative, Mumford High School  |  West Side Detroit, Spring 2026  |  Mumford Mustangs. There is an aerial photo of the highschool in the background.

The 9th grade at Mumford has been examining the issues that restrict opportunity at their school. They have been contacting members of the community to lift their concerns. In this presentation they will describe the results of their community inventory storytelling and also describe their efforts to be heard by the school district and the city council.
