Students Go Sailing!

by SEMIS Coalition | Jun 4, 2026 | Community Forum 2026 | 0 comments

Slide introducing Students Go Sailing! Wylie Elementary School. Dexter, Michigan. There are logos for Inland Seas Education Association and Dexter School District on a blue waves background.

Learn about the Great Lakes Watershed and think about solutions to problems focused around fishing, water, the benthos and changing weather patterns. Our class is going to experience an amazing adventure as we go sailing on Grand Traverse Bay and conduct experiments on an Inland Seas Schoolship, a 50 foot schooner sailboat.

By: Oliver Harless, Jackson Shanes, Hazel Tracy-Gaunt, Lauren Van Dragt, and Eloise Zurcher, 4th

Teacher: Narda Black, Wylie Elementary, Dexter
