Our 3rd grade students had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with singer-songwriter and environmental educator Joe Reilly to create an original song about their personal connections to nature. Through a blend of storytelling, reflection, and music, students explored themes of respect, reciprocity, and belonging in the natural world. This creative process allowed students to express what they’ve learned about Indigenous perspectives, environmental stewardship, and their own place within nature. Come hear how their voices came together to honor the land—and each other—through song.
