Salina students learned about climate change’s impact on local communities. They discovered how vulnerability exacerbates the effects of climate change and recognized the crucial role of tree equity alongside climate justice in supporting vulnerable communities.

Furthermore, they spent time learning about the impact of human development on the water cycle, including how our activities have altered the natural flow and operation of water systems, leading to issues like water pollution, water scarcity, and the limited availability of freshwater.
