Cement Budget Detroit

by SEMIS Coalition | May 31, 2026 | Community Forum 2026 | 0 comments

Presentation graphic for a student-led community campaign about Islandview's sidewalk infrastructure, highlighting the challenges of broken cement for wheelchair accessibility.

Islandview has a cement problem and the sidewalk is being damaged. This is important because it could become a tripping hazard. Our goal is to get the government to pay more attention to Islandview and other neighborhoods cement problem. It can be hard for people in wheelchairs to move around on broken cement. What can 6th graders do to help with this problem in our community?
